Gala tickets will be available for purchase in front of the school before and after drop off February 1-16. Tickets are also available online at www.wilsonpto.org/night_at_the_museum. Your $45 donation will get you admission to our gala and auction, all-you-can-eat food catered by Southern Goods restaurant, and one drink ticket. (Additional drinks will be available for the low price of $3/drink.) We are pulling out all the stops for this year’s event and hope to see you there to join in the festivities. Avoid the lines and pre-purchase your tickets now!

WINE BOTTLES NEEDED FOR WINE PULL

We are still needing wine donations for our “wine pull” game at the gala. Please consider picking up an extra bottle or two the next time you are at the store. Wine must be a minimum of $15 per bottle but can be any label or variety. Donations can be dropped off with any gala team member at the ticket table (before or after school) starting February 1st. In order for this game to be fun… we need a LOT of wine, so please consider contributing.

LOOKING FOR OTHER WAYS TO HELP?  HERE ARE SOME THINGS WE NEED:

  • Empty baskets and containers for silent auction items
  • Volunteers to work the day before and the day of the gala.  Sign up to help HERE
  • Gift cards in small increments ($5-$25) to businesses, restaurants, or online stores
  • Donations to help us meet our $5,000 anonymous matching gift donation

NEED CHILDCARE FOR THE GALA?

The YMCA after school team will be offering childcare onsite at the event the night of the gala. Space is limited and will be on a “first come, first served” basis, so pre-registration to secure your spot is highly recommended. Cost is $30 for the first child and $5 for each additional child in your family. Children must be at least 2 years old to attend. To register, CLICK HERE.  Contact Amanda McClanahan with any questions amandamcclanahan@gmail.com.

WHAT TO WEAR?

The gala is fast approaching (only one week away!!) and many have asked what they should wear to the event. This year’s venue is beautiful and lends itself to cocktail attire. What does this mean? It’s your chance to dress up and get a little fancy… break out your little black dress, put on your best pair of slacks, or dust off that suit. It does NOT, however, mean there will be a dress code. If flip flops are your idea of fancy…then wear your best ones! There will be women in dresses, and men in suits…but also folks in jeans, khakis and button-downs…and that’s perfectly fine. The important thing is that people come, support the school and have fun! Purchase tickets today at http://www.wilsonpto.org/night_at_the_museum
