The PTO has done many wonderful things to improve our school. The following is a list of some of our more notable accomplishments.
2009-2010 · Partnered with FOM for a successful PMET conference at Wilson · Assisted Wilson teachers to raise funds to attend the American Montessori Society (AMS) conference · Managed school supply fees · Raised donations for the Haiti earthquake relief fund and Chile earthquake relief fund. All donations were contributed to UNICEF and Doctors Without Borders.
2008-2009 · Purchased picnic tables · Partnered with FOM for a successful PMET conference at Wilson · Partnered with FOM for a successful gala, raising over $25,000 · Assisted Wilson teachers to raise funds to attend the American Montessori Society (AMS) conference · Successfully applied to SPARK for a renovation of our SPARK Park (SPARK process initiation: May 2010) · Purchased PTO storage shed · Implementation of E-News!, our electronic email newsletter · Managed school supply fees
2007-2008 · Created the outdoor labyrinth · Purchased benches for the front of the school · Defined and initiated the implementation of the Tuesday Distribution process · Purchased banners to advertise our school expansion to include middle school · Purchased hand sanitizer for classrooms · Purchased Raptor System to sign in visitors for the front office · Purchased 5 new computers for the technology class and 2 for the Upper Elementary classrooms · Launched our yearbook, Wilson Pawprints · Launched PTO website and contact email address
