Name Survey from Lanier Naming of School Committee

The HISD Board of Education recently voted to change the name of Sidney Lanier Middle School.  In accordance with HISD policy, a renaming committee has been assembled to offer a new name recommendation to the HISD Board. The committee, chaired by Michael Cardona, HISD Chief School Officer, Secondary, is asking all Lanier stakeholders to participate in an online survey so that the committee can gather and evaluate name recommendations and make a final recommendation to the HISD Board. Your input is vital to the renaming process so please complete the short survey before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 10.  A community meeting to discuss name recommendations will be held in the Lanier auditorium on Friday, March 11, at 8:30 a.m.
