Fall Festival AKA Harvest Celebration
Wilson's Harvest Celebration is just two weeks away!
Join us on November 8th from 2:00 - 6:00 pm for a campus-wide fun-filled event. Not only is the festival the most well-attended school event, it's also the biggest entertaining event full of carnival-style booths, delicious food and treats, crafting booths, raffle, lantern walk and the ever popular Color Run! Read more about it here.
The Color Run is a colorful display of children at play and it's success depends on everyone following the Color Run Guide. Read these rules before attending the Color Run.
Look out for the Pre-Sale of festival tickets! No wait, No fuss! The sweet convenience of walking straight to your favorite activity with tickets in hand.
Order your Festival t-shirts!
Get ready to party in style with your Harvest Celebration 2014 t-shirt!
Take a look at the new 2014 design created by Wilson dad: Eric Tobar and produced by Wilson dad Randy Wharton owner of DonkeyPaw.
T-shirts are ready for pre-order this week. Look out for the PTO table the week before the festival or order yours online!
Volunteer at the Fall Festival!
Get access to advance tickets and food! If you're interested in volunteering your valuable time at the festival (which we truly would appreciate), please sign-up online, where you can chose the time you want to volunteer and where.
We are also asking for your support with some items we need for the Fall Festival (loaned or donated): tables, chairs (folding and/or camping), and pop-up canopies. If you are participating in this please label the items with your names.
Volunteer to Bake!
Our annual Election Bake Sale is Nov. 4!
Fire up your ovens and start planning towards what baked good or treat you would like to donate!
We need volunteers to help police the halls and make sure voters know where to go. Please sign up if you can help out during school hours from 7:30-3:30.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
... to all the Wilson families who came out to the Fall Festival work day! You ALL are awesome!
Thank you to Wilson parents/chefs Soren and Maria Pedersen!
Last Wednesday Chefs Soren and Maria gave a hands-on "Cooking at Wilson" workshop to Wilson students on how to cook healthy dishes with sweet potatoes. The children had a fun time prepping and tasting sweet potatoes in a variety of ways.
We look forward to the next scheduled "Cooking at Wilson" workshops starting next week! The sessions are as follows: Wednesday November 5th, 8:45 - 11:30; Tuesday November 11th, 9:45 - 1:45; and Wednesday November 12th, 8:45-11:30.
Please consider volunteering for this awesome event! The students and the chefs could use your help! Drop us a line: firstname.lastname@example.org
